Electrifying School Buses

Approximately 225,000 children ride the bus to school each day in the Atlantic Canada. The exhaust from diesel engines causes serious physical and mental health issues for the students and bus drivers. Electric school buses have become a reliable alternative that have a lower cost to maintain and fuel.

We’ve been engaged in electric vehicle education since 2014.

Replacing a conventional vehicle with an electric alternative like E-Bikes reduces air pollutants such as NO2, SO2, particulate matter and VOCs. These reductions in air pollutants are measurable and are necessary to improve respiratory health.

NB Lung is invested in lowering the number of conventional vehicles on the road in order to improve lung health, and electric vehicles are a key aspect of that work.
